Mingdesec's distributed power system DPS helps Qingyang create the "Western Digital Valley"

Recently, the reporter learned from China Telecom Qingyang Branch that the Qingyang Computing Power Center project, a national hub of China Telecom's "East Data and West Computing" project, took 16 months to construct and has been successfully completed with production capacity. This marks a new progress in the construction of the "East Data and West Computing" national hub node of the National Data Center Cluster (Qingyang, Gansu).

The Qingyang Computing Power Center project, a national hub of China Telecom's "East Digital West Computing" initiative, is a key construction project for the Qingyang Cluster, a national hub of integrated computing power networks, and a demonstration project for China Telecom's "East Digital West Computing" initiative. It is also an important component of China Telecom's northwest layout of the eight major nodes of the national hub of integrated computing power networks. The total investment of this project is 447 million yuan, with a building area of 17400 square meters.

Recently, the reporter walked into the intelligent computing room of China Telecom's Qingyang Computing Center, the national hub of "East Digital West Computing". Rows of 8KW racks were neatly arranged, waiting for the equipment to be put on shelves for operation. According to Cao Bin, the project manager of the Qingyang Computing Center, a national hub of China Telecom's "East Digital West Computing", the IDC computer rooms in the data center are distributed on the east and west sides of the second, third, and fourth floors. Currently, more than 2000 cabinets of 8KW, 12KW, and other specifications are available, providing customers with multiple options. The PUE value of the entire data center is less than 1.2.

Computing power is the core, cooling is the key, and electricity is the guarantee. The computer room area of the Qingyang Computing Power Center, a national hub of China Telecom's "East to West Computing", adopts a "water-cooled air conditioning system+efficient indirect evaporation natural cooling air conditioning system" to ensure the safe operation of the equipment in the computer room. In terms of power security, the introduction of two municipal power sources, high-voltage diesel generator sets, and technologies such as "photovoltaic+energy storage" provide continuous and reliable power supply. The computer room adopts a modular design, applying high-voltage DC terminal distribution, direct supply technology of municipal electricity, small busbar, and distributed lithium battery, fully meeting the computing power needs of Qingyang Cluster Green Data Center. It mainly undertakes non real-time computing and intelligent computing business needs such as backend processing, offline analysis, storage backup, etc.

As a major strategy in the national layout, "counting from the east to the west" is a significant opportunity for the economic and social development of Qingyang. China Telecom Gansu Company has mobilized elite personnel and strong generals to work together with the Qingyang Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government, and China Telecom Qingyang Branch to overcome numerous difficulties and set a new benchmark for intelligent computing in just over 480 days.

At present, the various businesses that the data center needs to deploy involve large model computing and training. Scientific computing covers East Digital Computing, East Vision Computing, and East Push Training. It has been comprehensively applied in industries, government affairs, transportation, medical care, and other fields, bringing new momentum to help Qingyang develop its digital economy.
